Art Creations Friday Entry...And Photoshop Rocks My Socks!...

The fabulous ladies at Art Creations Friday used my FIT (Free Image Tuesday) as their image for this week!! I am so excited because now I get to see Sweet Maude through all of their eyes. They are a very talented bunch! Thank you so much Gals. I can't tell you how exciting it is to me when the FIT images are used in others' art:) Love, Jamie

Here is my entry for the week:

Ok, I am SO loving the Photoshop!!!! It is almost overwhelming because the possibilities are endless and it makes my mind race. In a good way. And I don't even know what I doing yet. Just wait until I actually learn Photoshop and whew! Can you tell I am excited? LOL!!!

I like the both pictures very much! I have hooked to Photoshop too. As you say the the possibilities are endless and if you don't like something you can do it again. May I use your freebies in my other works?

I am so jealous you are figuring out photoshop. I can only sharpen and lighten and darken! I do the rest by hand and it is not as fun as it used to be. I hope I figure it out someday!

As usual, your pieces are just gorgeous. You have a style that is all your own and your images are so involving and piercing - they just draw me in and see right through me or move right through me. The faces of your pictures and your artwork fascinate me and demonstrate your great skill in finding great pix, manipulating them and using them in lovely ways.

I visited the link. Can anyone participate in this? I've never had the guts to do challenges much but maybe it is what I need to help me keep growing and developing. I really like the feel of the ACF site. I have to link it so I can keep going back. Thank you for sharing it!

Beautiful use of Maud! What a great piece you created. I never got the hang of photoshop, so I use Paint Shop Pro. But I do love Illustrator.:-)

Thanks so much for the use of Maud and for your beautiful example.

Oh, I forgot... you asked how to make a link inside a comment box. I just searched the web yesterday and learned how. Email me and I will send you the instructions. I tried to write the code here but it actually turned it into a link!

Jaime, you asked about the magic wand. Try it first like this - take an image that has a background color that you want to get rid of - click the magic wand on that color and it will automatically select a section - hit the delete button and watch it disappear. Play with the tolerance at the top bar while the magic wand is selected - this can make the selections more sensitive. For example is the background is light blue and you have similar blue color in your image then lower the tolerance and it won't select the blue in the image. I hope this makes some sense. Anyway, try it - all you have to do is hit the undo button if it doesn't work out. Good luck!

What a pleasure to see your pieces. You are obviously very connected to Maud as you have used her beautifully. What a hauntingly lovely effect you've created.

Jaime, I'm glad you found the magic wand useful! If making a custom brush requires any drawing skills then I am out of luck. Stick figures are as far as I go! That's why I love rubber stamps so much. I just found a website yesterday - www.designerdigitals.com where I purchased a couple of brush sets for $7.98. There are so many great digital embellishments there I could go broke!
