Look at that sweet boy! On the back of the photo it says that this is Lowell Mills Cushing, age 2 years and the photo was taken on July 4th, 1901. He reminds me of both my boys at that age. The little boy hair that is still curly on the ends before their big boy cut and those sweet little chubby hands. Don't you know he was so thrilled to be holding that pocket watch! Sweet Lowell. Let me know if you use him in your art. I would love to see it! Love, Jamie
Oh. Hi. Did I mention that I LOVE photoshop? LOL!!

Oh how adorable, just look at the curiosity on that sweet face. Thanks for sharing, and visiting me too :)
These vintage photos just touch my heart! TFS...terrific gifts.
Oh isn't he darling! I too love their little dimpled hands. The pocket watch probably had to keep him entertained for several minutes. No easy task, for any photographer. Children are so adorable!
Hugs,
Tammy
Good morning, Jamie!
What a sweet, sweet boy! I love old photographs and pick some up every time I visit the antique stores in our town. He's so adorable, isn't he?
Thanks so much for your visit this morning and your sweet comments about my blogging. I enjoy it. I make time for it within the confines of my sometimes crazy life, which I desire so much to be a SIMPLE life! That is my goal this year. Simplify! Sometimes that seems so impossible, but I continue to work at it! By December 31, 2009, I hope we've made progress. I think we are...at least we're trying!
Oh, the floors. Yes, and thanks for the encouragement! :-) Aren't they HORRIBLE?!?! I wanted to cry! The professional starts work on them today. Everyone who knows about floors has assured me they will be fine. I'll reserve my opinion until after the sanding! I want so much to keep the originals. I always think that's important, but sometimes that may not be the practical thing to do. I've never been one to be too practical, but at the same time, I understand sometimes things may simply be too far gone! I'm keeping my fingers crossed!
I'm off to look at your latests posts and oh and ah over them. Hope you're having a wonderful week thus far!

i am going to start calling you Miss Photoshop instead of Miss Texas...LOL...you know i am green with envy girl!!! i LOVE LOVE LOVE what you did to those eggs!!! Mr Lowell is totally adorable...what a precious little picture!!!
What a cutie
and thanks for getting back with me on my question.
I will definitely look into it.
Hi Jamie!
Well, I love the eggs almost as much as I love the cute little boy. I have to quit coming here. I keep getting jealous that you, smart one that you are, actually take the time to figure out how to use photoshop, while I just swear at it and keep cutting things out by hand and in great flurries of resentment because I don't understand it!
Hope you are warm and cozy if it's storming. Wish I were there - there's nothing like being warm and cozy when it's cold and snowy outside - one of the finer things in life. Enjoy it! It used to always make me feel thankful (when I lived in SD) when winter storms came - thankful for having the simple necessities in life (like a roof over your head, and cocoa, and blankets, and warm fuzzy socks, and comfy sweats, and someone to cuddle up to in bed, and pretty views from the window, and . . . ), truly thankful and quite content. Anyhoo - hope it at least doesn't cause you any problems!

soo sweet!! thanks for sharing and thanks for posting PC on your blog too!! Can't wait to meet up with you! tina
Love your photoshop work, I have version 6 but I find it frustrating. I have photoshop envy.... I need to find a teacher (for the photo-taking, and photoshop impaired, do you think they have the "short-bus" for us?)
Wow, I see you've been busy! These eggs are adorable! Did I mentioned, I love birds!!! ; )
Hugs!
Claudia
Reminds me of my 3 boys too! I love your blog!
Little Lowell is adorable, Jamie. I bet his dad gave him that pocket watch to keep him quiet long enough to get the picture taken. :-) Love the eggs, too..you are mastering Photoshop!
He is So cute - thank you again :).
Man I wish my printer was here.
