First here is my newest addition to the living room. I found it at my favorite antique store although it is not an antique. It was one of those things that you see and immediately you know you have to have it. My husband is not so sure about it yet but I will make it grow on him:)
These are journal pages. I can't stop painting the eggs! I should just call my journal '"The Egg Book". LOLOL!! Sometimes my fear of creating something poorly is a tremendous block. I freeze instead of work through it. The last page addresses that blockage.

hello Texas, i'm glad you got your little package...i LOVE your bird cage lamp, very cute!!! and your journal pages are lovely...i would be painting eggs all the live long day if i could do it so well, they look quite real...there is something at my local thrift shop that i keep looking at but i'm afraid my husband will think i am nuts if i bring it home~it's a basket made out of huge safety pins and beads~what do you think of that??? oh, and it's orange...
I like the lamp and I'm glad your on an egg tangent - eggs are good!

Hello, you painted the eggs?! WOW!!! You amaze me with your amazing talent. I have such a huge crush on you! Heh heh heh heh! Anywhos, I love that lamp - it's a lamp right? Hey - lets share that. You keep the lamp, I'll take the birdcage. Deal? No? Sheeesh!
Perfection.....I had an excellent sewing teacher in high school. I was & still am a very good sewer – no loose threads anywhere. I haven't carried that over to my art (I didn't realize this until now) because it's a whole other thing. When I do fiber stuff & beading though, it's back to neat & tidy. Then I made that art doll for Ruth Rae & learned 'tidy be darned'. Now I'm allowing myself permission to leave those threads hanging loose & even decorate them with beads. Maybe WE need to hang loose & let the paint/fiber fly where they may! : D
Those eggs are fabulous!
Oh boy! can I relate...."Sometimes my fear of creating something poorly is a tremendous block. I freeze instead of work through it." I LOVE your last page. This is something I have to work on also.....
