I have several pictures to share today and one that I think is really interesting. All of these photos are Real People Post Cards or RPPC's. It was a great, inexpensive way to send photos to family that lived far away. Just stick a stamp on the back and mail it out.
This first one is Dale and Helen Dexter. Little Helen does not look very happy. I bet she has a set of lungs on her when she does not get her way!
This fella looks so proud in his bow tie and best suit:)
And this cutie has the sweetest face! I have used her a lot in my work.
I know this last one is not very clear, but I find it really fascinating. The boy is in his room and on the wall is the equivalent of modern day posters. He has cabinet cards, RPPC's, calling cards and greeting cards. It's cool to know that even in the early 1900's teenagers were still teenagers:)

Love the bottom photo of the boy in his room! Boys don't change...my son had snowboarding pics all over his room and three years out of the house he still does not want us to take them down!!

Hi, I just found your blog(couldn't tell you how)and have fallen in love with your art work. All of it! Your's is the perfect mix and blend of vintage and whimsy--not too glitzy and overly sweet. Wonderful, wonderful blog and art! I also love that you offer free images every week. Love that! I'll be back everyday now, to see what you've created and for inspiration to begin creating something of my own.
Thank you so much Pam!!! You are so sweet:) I love Free image Tuesdays the best. I remember when I first started with mixed media art and it was so hard to find good photos. I love sharing my collection. Remember to go on back and get the other images from all the other Tuesdays:) And thank you so for compliment on my art. I really appreciate it girl! Love, Jamie

Jamie--I finally got my package yesterday!! Not your fault--my scaredy-cat postman wouldn't leave it on the porch because of my vicious Petey the Wonderdog!!LOL..so, yesterday--he finally caught me outside on the porch (this is rural, rural post out here!!). It was FABULOUSLY DELICIOUSLY WONDERFUL!!!! I LOVE IT ALL!! Thank you a million times for the extra goodies!! I love them!!!!!! You are wonderful beyond words!!! If you will email me back, and explain how to leave feedback on Etsy--I will gladly do so!!

*snicker* ooooh, i really AM bad :)
Its amazing how similar teenagers are/were. They always look so grown up in the older pictures, I always wonder if they ever pinched each other, or let a curse word slip LOL
Hey Jamie! It's me ..your long lost friend! I amlagging in blogland lately! I love these old photos! I bought some from a vendor the other day! ..It is still HOT as Hades here. yuck!
oh Jamie these are all fantastic! I have many photos like this of my grandparents, Dad and his family.
Since they immigrated to the USA from Scotland they send a lot of picture postcards.
thanks for sharing your treasures!
can't wait to try them out!
That bottom photo really is fascinating, isn't it? And I love the dr's note in your other post as well! Things sure have changed, haven't they? I think I was shopping at Target three days after Noah was born!
Oh wow, the bedroom wall is way cool~! It resembles my teeny bopper's bedroom door (she's forbidden from taping things to the walls. lol)
I LOVE the little cutie pie. thank you for sharing her. I will definitely use her!
