Yesterday was the Annual Check-up for the boys. They are both good and healthy, but they both needed shots so I was dreading it. My seven year old David needed a chicken pox booster and my four year old James needed 4 shots, two in each thigh. I didn't tell them until the morning of the appointment because I know David would have worried himself so much anticipating the shot.
They were both scared but when the doctor told David he was going
to have a booster shot James began crying and saying he didn't want a "Booster Rocket" on him! LOL! Poor buddy! They both got through it and then we went over and I had my blood drawn. So we all got Booster Rockets:)
I want to thank everyone for their sweet comments. They mean so much to me. I am blessed to know each and everyone of you:) Love, Jamie
Speaking of medical things. I found this in a book I bought at an antique store here in town and I thought you guys would be interested in it. I think it's from the 40's or 50's but that's just a guess. What a hoot!!!!! I would have killed to stay in bed for over half a month after the baby came and then when my little bundle was 1 month old I would go to the beauty parlor and fix myself up! LOL!!!!

Awwww Jamie. I remember those days oh so well. With five do you know how many shots I've endured with these babies? Your heart just rips out but you know it for the best. It's so good that they say Moma being all big getting hers too! I want to buy some goodies from you but have to make more money first!! xxoo, Dawn
Can I be alarmed that I don't have doctor's permission to visit the salon until one month after the bambino is born?

Hi Jamie, I remember with Emily her running out of the room in the Dr. Office when they brought in her Boosters. Ughh, those days are not fun. Glad it is over for the Boys... Hugs Jamie, Stay Cool it is heating up here this weekend. Should be over 100 by Sunday...
Oh Jamie - so sorry your boys had their shots. My DS Andrew was so afraid of shots you could hold up a sewing needle and he would scream. Last summer he had to learn how to give his other platoon members IV's - who would have ever thought? LOL
Hi, Terra-Cottage! Thanks for stopping by! Love the license plate idea! It was my friends/colleagues who insisted on 'listen sister'..apparently, I say it alot! Whatever works, right? Sometimes we all need someone to be brutally honest with us :)

Oh Dear! ..I have been slack in blogging! I am so sorry about your Dad! And I hope your chilluns are okay now..after thos bossters! HA! Girl..it is hotter than H* here! Whew!
Aw, poor babies, bless them! I'm a grown woman and I still hate those "rocket boosters".
xoxo
I sympathize with your boys. I hated shots so much, every time my mother turned down the street our doctor's office was on, I would hide on the floor of the back seat. Of course, back then there was room in the back seat to do that!
By the way, I found some handwritten medical remedies in my grandmother's old cookbook from the early 20th century - wow!
