Three Muses Challenge...Time...

The TimeKeeper by Jamie Miller
(collage on canvas with antique watch parts and antique photo from my personal collection.  Quote written by Me:))

Here is my entry for the Three Muses Challenge.  It is not a new piece, but it is important to me.  I made this for a man named Walter who ran an antique store in town with his wife.  He collected and repaired pocket watches and we loved to talk about them together.  He was the TimeKeeper.

This is postively wonderful and the story that goes with it makes it even the more so. I can just imagine the textures and fell this piece must have. I have a bad habit of wanting to touch things like this.
Happy Thanksgiving

Jamie! This piece is brilliant. As soon as I saw it I thought about the way that time just zips by on us. You wake up one day and another 10 years are passed. You have captured the essence of the quotation to perfection....hugs...

That is just beautiful Jamie. Well done. I have always been intrigued by pieces with clock faces etc in them, and would like to start using them in my own work. Soon....
The blue for the background really finishes off the piece so well. Great colour. :^)

I saw your picture first and said "Wow" to myself. It is beautiful and creative and perfect for this week's theme. I love the richness of the colours and the design. Then I read the story behind it and it took on so much meaning. No wonder it is special to you. Fantastic.
