I love this Gal for so many reasons. She is a giving Friend, an incredibly talented Artist and she shares her journey openly and honestly. Please visit her blog and read what she has to say about pirating other's artwork. In this day of right clicking and digital magic it is happening all too often. She has also started a Flicker Group (see link below) so we all can express our thoughts about this through our art.

Quotes for Today...
"In everything truth surpasses the imitation and copy."~Marcus Tullius Cicero
"The difference between a bad artist and a good one is: the bad artist seems to copy a great deal; the good one really does."~William Blake

i just wanted to say that i think flickr is where a lot of people go...when they are looking for "inspiration"...it's like a candy store for the copy~cat...
...and the picture thief...
Oh Jamie, thank you for your support and kind words. You have no idea how much it is appreciated. In case it comes up with anyone in your circles, I really think the message should be that we all learn and share and even mimic from each other in style and ideas - that is how we grow as artists and try new things. But the out and out downloadling and reusing of another colleague's work without permission is what we hope to educate people about. So, thank you for being a part of this and thank you for all of the generous support and friendship you've given me always!

Great post! and I love what you did! I spent some time yesterday reading about this. then went from link to link to link. I just need time to make one of my own... so perhaps next week I'll devote some time to it.
I've been busy making some ATC to swap ...but I'm challenging my self to use all those left over bits I can't seem to through away. Testing myself to see what I can come up with.
Your angel stole my heart, not my art!! xoSusan
I love your little angels they are so cute.
Good graphics!
It's so hard to keep people honest. At least those will point them in the right directions.
Jamie, love your image and the message. Thanks for visiting my blog and for being such a positive influence on those reading your words and admiring your creativity. Have a great weekend!
I think it is so incredible we have to ask people not to steal art. It is mind boggling. Thanks for putting it out there!
The little angel you made for this cause, is so pretty! It's so sad that people can't just enjoy other people's art without stealing it. I think people are very confused about copyright issues though, I often get emails from people asking me if they can grab any old image from Google images and make a background out of it. Yikes!

I think your piece look fabulous!!

thank you for sharing this. I had something like this happen just recently. I had traded something I had made and sent it to the woman. She basically copied the whole piece and posted it on her Flickr with no credit whatsover. I can't tell you how disheartening it was.
Hello!!
It was fun to catch up with you here.
Fun as always, my dear.
I tried to read Tumble Fish Studio, but the gray on black is too hard to read. I closed in frustration...perhaps as her friend you could mention that, while very arty, it is near impossible to look at. I know my 'not 20 something eyes' are partly to blame, but I would hate for her to NOT have visitors because we cannot bear the incredible eye strain with gray on black. I do hope Marsha is not offended.
Hugs to you my friend
xox Rella
