FIW!!!! (Wipes Brow)...I'm Exhausted!...

It's Free Image Wednesday. Yes. I know. I am totally late. Again. Thank you so much for being so patient and sticking with me. Someday soon I will get my stuff together. But, not this week. LOL!!! Oh, the boxes!!! Why don't you all come over and help me unpack? We could get it all banged out in a couple of hours and then we could have a great big 'ole art party. We'd laugh and art and have a wonderful time. We'd stay up late and take a midnight walk to the grave yard and scare the beejebus out of each other:) I wish! How fun would that be?! Here are some pics of the inside of the new house. The old house closes next Tuesday and then we are DONE!!!!!!! Yeah!!!

This week's FIT photos have the theme of affection. All these photos show such great love and affection. Even the beautiful sweetie more interested in loving her stuffed toy than getting a boring picture taken:)

This is Master Karl H. Madison and his Mother. Oh, the baby love and the beautiful pride in Momma's Eyes! This photo was taken on March 26, 1906 in Leetonia, Ohio.

I picked this young couple because they seem very much in love. I love how their head's are leaned in and touching. I bet they are newly married and ready to start their lives together.

Look at this Angel!!! Those pudgy cheeks are begging for kisses! Now she can pat the bunny:)The very ornate wicker chair was a very common studio prop in the early 1900's.

On the back of her photo is this ghostly image. I love finding these because they are like an extra treat:) This image transfer happens when photos are stored stacked on top of each other for long periods of time. I wonder if this was her Mother?

Here are some more gravestone photos. These are from a Church that is only 5 minutes drive from our neighborhood. I spent a cloudy morning there last week and took some photographs.

Feel free to use any of the gravestone images in your art also:)

And then all the fantastic cabinet cards and the amazing gravestone photos. Wonderful stuff! I am so pleased that you are happy in your new home. The boxes will get unpacked eventually (lovely suggestion that we all come over to help and have fun.... I WISH!!) The main thing is that you are enjoying your new life and surroundings. Take care and be happy xx

These images are awesome and the ghostly image is perfect for this time of year. I really should go take some gravestone pics too. I so enjoy seeing them, expecially the really old ones. Those stone stand the test of time, some better than others.

I have at last started my own blog and have added you to my favorite places to visit (I hope you don't mind?). Always a joy when you add a new post and I hope when you get time you can pop on over to mine! Any updates on Flickr?

Me again! Sorry but I haven't figured out another way to get in touch! Thanks so much for adding me Jamie and I am so glad we have reconnected again! My Flickr days are few and far between at the mo - too much work and not enough time - but I will post some of my work on my blog now and then. I'll be watching this space!! Take care

Hi Jamie:

You may know, I collect and adore vintage photos as well. I acquire them for my art and de-stash at my Musty Boxes Ephemera shop on Etsy. I have some of those old photos with the "ghosting" on back. Sometimes, the image on back is more interesting than the photo itself! Oh, I could browse through old photos all day long!

Wow, Jamie! I'd come to your house anytime - if I didn't have to drive through Dallas to get there!

Jamie, your new home looks lovely. I love the bathroom vanity, the kitchen and the front door. Very cool shape. If I loved closer we could get that packing undone and yes have some fun and go to the graveyard for spooky fun.

Oh, it's me again...I got distracted by the photos and forgot to mention your new home..that entrance foyer and staircase is fabulous!! I must see more pictures when you get moved in.

We moved into our newest home 6 months ago and remodeled for 4 months. I've finally got everything unpacked but still sorting stuff and organizing...it's been a long haul and I'm glad this is our last home. I think I'd crack up if I had to pack and move again..hehe....but that's because I've traveled my whole life...and just now STOPPED..haha

Anyhow, your home is fabulous and I look forward to seeing it once you get settled.
