I've Got The Voodoo In Me!...Random Acts of Kindness...

The Voodoo is MINE!!!!! All MINE!!!!!

What is she rambling on about now? Here's a link to an old post when we first got the Voodoo," That Ole' Black Magic". So, my techno geek husband upgraded his computer to a new, better, faster one (also from Voodoo) and I got the old Voodoo for myself:) My new baby is SLICK and FAST and Wonderful! The liquid coolant system makes sweet, relaxing sounds while I work. Like a bubbling mountain stream, only better! LOL!! I love it and I got a new 23 inch monitor. I love my laptop ya'll, but the big monitor makes Photoshop editing so much easier! And bigger. And awesomer. So pardon my absence of late, but I was transferring files and setting up my baby;)

Look at what loveliness came in the mail for me!!! This is from sweet Terri at Blooming Ideas. The minute I saw this on her blog I knew I loved it and imagine my giddiness at finding it in my mailbox last week! I signed up for The Random Act of Kindness project on her blog and this is what she sent me. I LOVE it Terri!!! She has been so patient with me waiting for my post;) Your assemblage piece looks so wonderful on my desk Sweetie!

So. Since I posted under her Random Act of Kindness blog giveaway, I now need to hold a Random Act of Kindness giveaway myself. The first five folks to sign up stating that they would like to participate will receive a gift in the mail from me. It will be something I create by hand, not digital. It will arrive as a surprise one day this year in your mailbox. If you sign up of the giveaway then you need to hold one on your blog for five other folks also. It can be anything you wish to send and you have a year from the day you post the Giveaway to send it.

I have posted Teri's rules here so you can read more about it!

Give Away
& Pass It On - Random Acts of Kindness Alert - my turn to pass this on after participating with Lori at http://lorianderson.blogspot.com/ Pretty things.
The first 5 people to respond to this post will get something made by me. This offer does have some restrictions and limitations so please read carefully:
* I make no guarantees that you will like what I make. but I think you will.
* What I pick will be just for you.
* It'll be done this year (2009).
* You have no clue what it's going to be. It will be something made in the real world and not something cyber. It may be a handmade card, or jewelry, something lovely made out of paper, beads, or a random treasure. Who knows?
* I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. (That's my favorite one Terri! LOL!!)

It's Easy and Fun!!!! So sign up and get in some blog love today! It's good for ya!! LOL!!

I want to say think you to all of you that have been sending such wonderful thoughts my way lately. It's been a crazy month or two and things are settling down finally. James had a follow-up with the specialist. She tested his lung function and that monkey is at 76% lung function right now. Yuck! So no procedures just yet. She said she likes to see her asthma kids at 85% or better so we are holding off until we see if his new medications improve the function.

Mom is brave and wonderful and amazes me with her awesome attitude. She starts radiation this week and I told her I was sending her some stripper tassels to wear on her 1st appointment. LOL!! Love you Mom!

Just found your blog through Becky, at Heart in Hand. So sorry about the health problems with your family You must be under heavy stress. I love the simplicity of the shadow box. I hope your creativity is carrying you through rough times. Mine always helps me the quote is a good one too. Another one I like is as follows ( I shortened it a bit )=When you come to the edge of the light and must take that first step into the darkness of the unknown, There will be something for you to stand on or you will learn to fly! julie

Jamie I'm so glad you love it. The mail system being what it it is I just wanted to be sure it got to you ok. So I'm relieved.
Had a feeling something else was going on of a more serious nature.

Wow! So many things to say about this post. First, my son who works on customizing his computer like many 17 year olds would worry about their cars, will love to hear about this. He has been talking about this cooling system. I am excited for you and know you will be churning out the amazing artwork from your new computer digs! Congratulations!

The altered piece you received is gorrrrrgeous! I have been turning something similar over and over in my mind and haven't been brave enough to try. I bought dozens of deep frames last summer and they just sit waiting for me. Anyway, the whole RAK thing just sounds so cool. I've been on the receiving end of some similar giveaways so I guess I'd better figure out what all I need to do before I keep committing to them and get them all mixed up.

I know you've been going through a lot and still have a lot to get through. You sound like you are doing well and have a good grasp on it all. Sometimes when we know what we're dealing with and we have time to adjust to the idea of it all, we find we are stronger than we thought. I am holding onto that thought lately myself. I hope I am stronger than I think! So, I'm here for you, pulling and thinking good thoughts and cheering you on. We shine the brightest in the dark sometimes! Hang in there and keep making your beautiful work!

Hello there. Voodoo, huh? Hmmm...never heard of that one. I can imagine a 23" screen would make editing your pics a lot easier. How fun to have a new toy to play with. I love this art piece. You are so talented. I can't wait to have a better computer so I can buy a photo editing program. Still working on DH. I have my eye on 3 different ones. Any suggestions? Have a lovely week.

Wow-voodoo magic! Love that name and it does sound wicked-hee! I'd love to hear it run!

I hope you have lots of fun and like-minded companionship at your retreat you're going too soon!!

I love this idea of a different sort of RAK getting a surprise in the mail maybe on a day when you just may need it the most. I'd love to play along! I will go post on my blog right now!

Thanks so much, Jamie,
hugs,
Tami
